Help! I can not change anything on my 360 profile.?

Okay, I have tried and tried to set up my 360 profile, but nohting works. I try to change the theme, it doesn't change.

I change my profile information, it still lists me as First L, and says I am a 26 year old male. Sorry, but I am a 43 year old woman, and First L is not my name.

I really wanted to set up this profile but don't know what to do now. I am so frustrated I just want to can it all.

I made several requests to Yahoo for help, but oddly have received no response. Normally if I have a question and have to contact Yahoo, I get a response pretty quick. I am beginning to think Yahoo 360 is just nothing but a hallucination on my part.

Do you go thru yahoo's home page in browser, sign in and this is what you get ??

And I am assuming that when you edit your profile info etc etc, you click "save" or "save and continue" in the lower right corner ?

Usually, First L is just something that is put in when someone wants to view a 360 page while not having one of their own and is prompting you to do up a 360 page.

If you don't sign in and get this, try starting over ??

p.s. sometimes the profile page kicks back because of the birthdate ... it's those darn little dashes *--* that seems to cause a lot of problems ... the birth day # replaces the dashes

Her first name had been removed so that her maiden and last names were left (which could easily be a male first name/last name.) It said she is a 23-year-old male (she is much older than 23), and there was an additional email address listed in besides her correct one. That one was a Hotmail addy.

I am concerned that my private email list may have been breached in some way.

Yes, this can happen. People keep trying passwords until they find out yours and then they change some onfo so that they also can get addresses from the list and use them for spam , ( which they sell to other spam marketing companies). The best thing is to log in , change your password to a combination of letters and numbers ( alternate) and then correct all your information.

Go to your 360 My Page and click on Edit Contact Settings, then Basic Info.

Right under Yahoo! Identity Display, select the first option and save.

You have probably done everything right. I don't reply to some messages - because you get so many. You can send a message to people individually - then you usually get a reply. if you send a message to all your "friends" - they probably get lots and so don't expect a reply. I think bulletins - don't normally get replies.

it is because they set it so that anyone above 18 cant see there profile, so if you set your age under 18 then you can see it.
Either you are blocked, or they have set it to private, and everyone that isn't on their friend's list cannot see their profile. Send them a friend request or send them a message and ask them what is up!

In the recent Xbox Live update it allows you to now edit a 'personal profile' which you can enter your name, location and a 'bio' which can contain lots of characters, however I do not wish to enter them using the virtual keyboard and the 360 controller.

Exactly what Mitko said, best thing for you to do is save the Japanese text on a notpad that way you always have it on hand when you edit your profile. Then just copy and paste it were the "???" shows up every time you edit profile.

Here's an easy workaround: go to Google, enter your friend's nick followed by YA. In the list one or more questions and/or answers of your friend should appear, click on one of them and you have found your friend...:-)

I think YOU can't -- it seems to be the latest new "glitch" from the folks at Yahoo! Every time there is an update (and there was on very recently), something new and different starts going a bit weird until they get it all ironed out and tweaked on all the servers! If I remember correctly, when you do the settings on the 360, you are asked if you want it to be included in the directory. I know that's what is asked in setting up a regular Yahoo! profile, anyway. I just went through the list of settings,however, and I don't see where you can choose that. If anyone knows, maybe you can correct me so I don't confuse anyone the way I often am. hehe

Directories are just stored 'searches', sometime created from other stored 'searches' - These can take some time to be updated.
If you go to your settings, beneath your intial name profile you will see the following i've put dots where it will be your user name, you just need to tick the box to activate it so that any one who knows your name, user name and e-mail can find you!..

I understand that you are being a good friend and trying to protect them from heartache, but thats none of your business. You CAN'T delete it. But you CAN go back to using your OLD yahoo profile. To do this....go to your 360 page...click on SETTINGS...scroll down to Yahoo Identity Display...choose the FIRST option. It says "Display me as: *your 360 ID*"...just make sure you DON'T have either of the options checked that say "links to http://profiles.yahoo.com/ *your yahoo ID*" Click on save and now you will be back to your OLD yahoo profile. If you dont want to use the 360 page at all anymore...just remove all of your info off of it...remove all friends from your list...change all settings to PRIVATE JUST ME....uncheck the box that says to activate your 360 URL...click save on all things...then never go to your 360 page again. There is no deleting a 360 account.

There are new types of layouts now, they differ from your usual layout. They are more interactive.

Search through they're layouts and you just copy the codes into your about me section and your who i'd like to meet section.....Dead easy!!!
First find a photo you like to use as a background (size 1024x768 pixels or bigger) and host it with Photobucket. When it is uploaded and you view it, look on the right side for 'Direct Link-Layout Pages'.

You need to copy that link and use it in the profile editor on MyspaceGeeks. You can play with settings for colors and borders and see the preview live!

If you like it press 'generate layout'. There is an explanation on how to copy and paste the code in your profile.

An easy tutorial for all this is coming up on my blog mentioned in the sources.

No you can't legimately "track" the people who look at your profile. Tom disabled it so that even the good and working profile trackers can only let you see their IP address and not their myspace URL.

to answer the first part, right when you make your account its put up online, editing your profile doesnt do anything until you save the changes, then it updates.

It looked like a scam to me. If it asks you to put any info like passwords, ss#s, or stuff like that then stay away.
Those profile watchers are scams because they normally cookie-grab your account by finding out your password and email address and taking over your account.

Therefore, you cannot see the people who view your profile in any shape or form.

We purchased the GE profile refrigerator model # PFS22MBSBWW October, 2006. We declined delivery of the 1st unit because the freezer drawer track was broken. The next unit worked for 6 months then the freezer stopped working. After 7 repairman visits and 3 months without a working freezer GE still will not refund our money. The repairmen (plural) mentioned a problem with the "Board". The repairmen know that there is a problem but GE refuses to admit it or issue a recall. Anyone else have a problem with this product?

After that you can view your 360 witch is hidden and see if you would like to make more changes.

you cant transfer one profile to another. the new ID will have to join all the groups you belong to under the other ID. copy all the links so when you sign in under the new ID, you'll have them all handy to click and join

Go onto edit profile... then 'profile editor'

Then go to the 'Customise' tab

Then click 'clear all'

This will remove all the changes you have ever made to your profile using the profile editor tool.

Yahoo! profiles have been quite screwy of late. They time out before opening, open really slow, open to blank pages, open to the wrong page, and sometimes even open the way they are supposed to.

This problem has been going on for way too long now. Use the form at http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/md/cgi... to report your difficulty to Yahoo! If enough people begin reporting it maybe it will get fixed quicker. Be specific and provide details like what Operating System you use and what browser and version.

I used the form myself and received an e-mail reply stating "We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Please be assured that we are aware of this problem and hope to have it fixed as soon as possible."

Well are you an adult? and are you the master acount holder? if the answer is no to either you can't.
try growing up.

Only if you tell them. If you know them that well they probably know how you type and junk. Other then if you did that, no. Just type a bit differently and talk a bit differently and they'll have no clue.

Delete Everything In Your About Me %26amp; Etc And Start Fresh.
I would copy and paste everything into a folder somewhere. Then go in and delete everything that is causing problems..

I say to save the codes just in case you delete something you didnt mean too...

Since I don't know where you got the first one, I can't tell you how to fix it. However, I would suggest you just find one that the layout is similar to what you had. Then go into the myspace profile editor and change what you want in there. You can choose your own pictures, change colors, fonts, etc in there.

HINT: Always copy your codes once you get your page the way you want it and paste it into a word file to save it. That way if it gets messed up, you just go to the file, copy and paste it back in your profile. :) I do this to every section of my profile in case something gets messed up.

Hope I have helped. These can get very frustrating when they go wrong! Believe me, I know!! LOL
